Vendor Categories & Fees*

Local Small Business/Artisan/Craft – $200 CAD

Local Small Business/Artisan/Craft offering a participatory activation to their booth – $100 CAD

As in 2022, we are offering a discounted fee for vendors that can include a FREE to the public, ongoing participatory element to their activation – e.g. workshop, demo, live silk screening, jewelry-making, knitting, etc.). Vendors that apply for this category will have a larger footprint to accommodate the activation, and their regular sales booth. By having a participatory activation at the Geary Art Crawl vendors will have a unique opportunity to engage with the public and create memorable experiences with their customers. 

Food Vendors – $300 CAD

All Food Vendors must participate in our voucher program where we will provide staff with vouchers that can be used at Food Vendors. You will be reimbursed for all voucher sales.

* Fees are for both days of the festival- participants are encouraged to partake in the festival on both festival dates. The fee remains the same for one or two days of participation. 

How do we select vendors?

The Vendor Marketplace will be a mixture of vendors with participatory activations and sale-only stations, and it will be curated in a manner that combines each vendor type so visitors are always engaged. The Geary Food Court will feature unique and diverse offerings.We are looking to avoid generic white tent set-ups in favour of colourful, fun decor please keep that in mind and include these details with your application! We prioritize handmade items, and local IBPOC artists.

Things to Keep in Mind

Space. Regular spaces are 10ft x 10ftExceptions in the footprint size will be made for Food Trucks and Vendors that include a participatory activation.*Please note: Food Trucks can not exceed 10 feet width from the curb– in order to maintain emergency access.

Tent & Furniture. Vendors must bring their own tent (maximum 10x10) with festival approved sandbags or weights; tables, chairs, and any other furniture needed for their set-up. 

Power & Lights. Vendors must bring their own generator/ battery powered lights. NO power outlets are available. Portable generators and food truck generators MUST be whisper quiet. As we aim to keep noise pollution to a minimum, maximum noise allowance from a generator will be 60 decibels.

Locations. We have two areas within the Geary Art Crawl designed for vendors: Vendor Marketplace & Geary Food Court. 3-5 days before the event, vendors will be notified of their specific location.

Locations are assigned for very specific reasons, after careful consideration. Every attempt is made to drive foot traffic to all areas within the festival so that all vendors get great exposure and to avoid direct competition with other vendors of similar products. For this reason, vendors are not allowed to change their location after they have been assigned to one.

Come prepared for any weather. This is a rain or shine event — although we hope for shine, be prepared for all weather!
